AUTHENTIC JAVA
BACKPACKING
Disconnect from the digital world. Reconnect with the raw earth.
From the indigenous Baduy tribe to the Blue Fire of Ijen.
Intro the philosopy
Not A Vacation. This Is An Expedition.
Most tourists fly over Java to get to Bali. You are not most tourists.
This 12-day journey is designed for the curious souls, the wanderers, and the story-seekers. We trade luxury hotels for bamboo houses without electricity. We trade swimming pools for hidden waterfalls. We trade comfort for the kind of magic you can only find when you go off the beaten path.
ITINERARY PART 1 (The Wild West: Day 1-4)
Phase 1: Into The Wild
Time Travel to 1900s
Leave modern Jakarta. We trek into the Inner Baduy territory. No electricity. No phones. No cars. Just bamboo bridges, river baths, and sleeping in traditional woven houses. Experience life in its purest form.
Canyoning & Camping
Adrenaline time. We head to the slopes of Mount Salak for River Canyoning. Jump into crystal clear waterfalls. At night, we set up camp, light a BBQ fire, and sleep under a million stars.
The Lungs of Java
Wake up to the sound of nature. Trek through the dense tropical rainforest of Halimun Salak National Park. Spot exotic birds and monkeys before we descend to Bogor city.
The Lost Pyramid
Visit Gunung Padang, a megalithic site older than the Pyramids of Giza. Walk on stones laid by civilizations 20,000 years ago. Then, we drive to the Art Deco city of Bandung.
ITINERARY PART 2 (Coast & Culture: Day 5-9)
Phase 2: Ocean & Kings
Bandung to Pangandaran
A long but beautiful journey through the winding roads of West Java’s southern coast. Rice terraces, tea fields, and cliffs. Arrive at Pangandaran beach just in time for a golden sunset.
Body Rafting & Motorbikes
Backpacker Favorite! We explore the coast on motorbikes. Jump into the emerald waters of Green Canyon for Body Rafting. Visit Batu Karas beach for a surf lesson (beginner friendly).
Road to Yogyakarta
We cross the border into Central Java. This is a day of scenic driving, witnessing the landscape change from lush Sundanese hills to the dry, majestic Javanese plains.
Temples & Free Time
Day 8: Visit the Sultan Palace and the towering Hindu temple of Prambanan.
Day 9: Free Program. Sleep in, drink charcoal coffee (Kopi Joss), explore Malioboro, and recharge for the volcanoes.
ITINERARY PART 3 (Fire & Ice: Day 10-12)
Phase 3: The Ring of Fire
Approaching the Giants
Long drive to East Java. The landscapes become dramatic. We arrive at the Bromo area, feeling the chill mountain air. Early sleep is mandatory.
Sunrise & Sea of Sand
3:00 AM Jeep Adventure. Witness the most iconic sunrise in Indonesia. Walk across the Sea of Sand and peer into the roaring crater of Mount Bromo. Then, we drive to Banyuwangi/Ijen.
Ijen to Bali
Midnight trek to Mount Ijen. Witness the rare phenomenon: Electric Blue Fire dancing in the crater. See the sunrise over the acid lake. Finally, we take the ferry to Bali. Trip ends. You are now a legend.
