Intro the philosopy

Not A Vacation. This Is An Expedition.

Most tourists fly over Java to get to Bali. You are not most tourists.

This 12-day journey is designed for the curious souls, the wanderers, and the story-seekers. We trade luxury hotels for bamboo houses without electricity. We trade swimming pools for hidden waterfalls. We trade comfort for the kind of magic you can only find when you go off the beaten path.

ITINERARY PART 1 (The Wild West: Day 1-4)

Phase 1: Into The Wild

DAY 1: DIGITAL DETOX IN BADUY

Time Travel to 1900s

Leave modern Jakarta. We trek into the Inner Baduy territory. No electricity. No phones. No cars. Just bamboo bridges, river baths, and sleeping in traditional woven houses. Experience life in its purest form.

DAY 2: SALAK WILDERNESS

Canyoning & Camping

Adrenaline time. We head to the slopes of Mount Salak for River Canyoning. Jump into crystal clear waterfalls. At night, we set up camp, light a BBQ fire, and sleep under a million stars.

The Lungs of Java

Wake up to the sound of nature. Trek through the dense tropical rainforest of Halimun Salak National Park. Spot exotic birds and monkeys before we descend to Bogor city.

DAY 4: ANCIENT MYSTERY

Common Questions

Everything you need to know before packing.

Can I do this trip solo?
Absolutely! Many of our guests are solo travelers. It is safe, and our driver/guide will be your travel companion. You will never feel lonely.
Do I need a backpack or can I bring a suitcase?
Since we use a private car, suitcases are totally fine! However, for the Baduy trekking (Day 1) and Camping (Day 2), you cannot drag a suitcase. We recommend bringing a small daypack/backpack for these treks, while your big suitcase stays safely in the car.
What are the toilets like? (Squat or Western?)
In hotels and cities, you will find standard Western sit-down toilets. However, in Baduy Village and some rural areas, you might encounter traditional squat toilets or simple river bathing facilities. It’s part of the authentic experience! Hand sanitizer is recommended.
How physically hard is the trekking?
It is Moderate. The toughest parts are the Baduy Trek (4-5 hours walking) and Ijen Crater (steep hike up and down). If you have average fitness and enjoy walking, you will be fine. No technical climbing skills needed.
I am Vegetarian/Vegan. Is there food for me?
Yes! Java is a paradise for vegetarians. We have Tempeh (soybean cake), Tofu, Gado-Gado (salad with peanut sauce), and fresh tropical fruits everywhere. Our guide will help you order compliant meals.
Is there WiFi or Internet?
Most hotels have WiFi. However, in Baduy (Day 1), there is zero internet and no electricity. It is a digital detox. For the road trip, we recommend buying a local SIM card (Telkomsel) at the airport for the best coverage.
Do I need Malaria pills?
Java and Bali are generally low-risk for Malaria compared to eastern Indonesia. Most travelers do not take pills, but simple mosquito repellent spray is highly recommended for the rainforest and camping areas.
Can you book the hotels for me?
Yes, we can! If you don’t want the hassle, we can upgrade this package to include 3-star or 4-star hotels for the entire trip. Just let us know on WhatsApp.
